Meet Jara
A small window into Jara's world. Here are some pages and illustrations from the book.

A story with heart
A children's story about empathy, education and the importance of getting to know someone before judging them. In Spain, Jara belongs to a breed often classified as a Potentially Dangerous Dog (PDD). But in this story, PDD takes on a new meaning: Potentially Dozing Dog. Because Jara proves that appearances never define who someone truly is.
A story for children and adults that reminds us that appearances never tell the whole story.
Jara also has a mission 🐾
Jara was born from a very simple idea: no dog should be judged solely by its breed or by a label.
That is why Juan Manuel wants to share copies of this story with animal shelters and rescue centres in his area, so Jara can reach children and families and help them see every dog for what it truly is: an individual with its own story and its own heart.
Do you work with an animal shelter or rescue centre?
If you would like to receive copies of Jara for your centre, you can get in touch with Juan Manuel.
